Certification in Adlerian play therapy means that you have demonstrated mastery of the skills required to build relationships with clients and explore their interpersonal and intrapersonal dynamics in Adlerian play therapy. It also means you have mastered Adlerian conceptualization of clients, development of customized treatment plans for play therapy clients using a variety of strategies and techniques designed to help clients move toward their therapeutic goals for change. In addition, you have shown proficiency in Adlerian play therapy consultation with parents, family members, teachers, and other significant people in clients’ lives. For an Advanced Certificate, you have also demonstrated prowess in Adlerian applications of sand tray play therapy, Adlerian family play therapy, and self-evaluation using the Adlerian Play Therapy Skills Checklists.
